All new characters will be entering higher than level 1, but I still need to look through a few more things before I decide on the exact starting level. You will be able to divide the starting level between your multiple classes however you see fit.

You also need to decide where your character originates from. The party is currently in Ursula LeGuinn's world of Earthsea, but all indications point to them leaving soon. If you decide to be from Earthsea, the spellcasting system wizards learn there is quite different and based on the knowledge and use of True Names, of things as well as people and creatures.

You also have the option of being from a wide variety of other places, due to the presence of several unstable dimensional gates in the areas the party is now frequenting. Conan's Hyboria, The Forgotten Realms, Earth's Roman Empire, Elric's Young Kingdoms, Eberron, and renaissance Italy are all possible choices, among many others. If you'd like to suggest something, please feel free and I will let you know if it's possible.

The starting level for new characters will be level 6. For characters with more than one class, you're free to split those 6 levels up however you'd like.
