What do we need?

If you still have your old character sheet from [unbelievably] 15 years ago, you can start a thread of your own in the 'character sheets' forum, and write it all down there. If not, we can figure it out.. let me know what you remember and what you don't, and I'll look for any copies I might have as well.

I can actually see my big purple plastic boxes full of DnD stuff at the back of the closet now, so I should be able to get them out today and see what all character sheets I have in there. Yay!

Tried to haul my purple boxes out of the closet today, but my back and knees couldn't handle it today. I'll try again tomorrow, and Marta should be able to give me a hand with it then too

Ok but make sure you are able to explain the huge purple dildo laying in the bottom of one of those boxes....

I have both Pathfinder and 4th edition. I would recommend pathfinder for this forum based game, mainly because it is compatible with anything. 4th edition is almost a table top miniature game (its fun too), but Pathfinder is more "descriptive" like D and D is suppose to be. Whatever we decide, I am in!

The more I read the pdf copies I have of 4E and Pathfinder, the more I lean toward Pathfinder.. the things that bug me the most so far with 4E are the things like 'marking' to get agro. I thought that was unrealistic in a video game.. I'm not about to put up with it in DnD.

A guy on my DDO guild website runs a forum game using 4E, and he has pdf copies of all the dungeon geomorph mappy things and he photoshops character tokens on to them, and a number/letter matrix grid, and you call out what square you're moving to like in a chess match. At times, I think it looks sort of neat, but mostly I think it's pretty RETARDED!

Yea that totaly bogs down the roleplaying experience and flow of combat in a forum (imo).

I renamed that forum to Resources and Reference.. not as 'cool' but certainly more useful.

Also, The Boxes of the Purple Sage have been claimed! They are next to me now.. before it was time to shut the lights off for sleeping people, I found Wong's notebook but not Nanigata's sheet, I found Ahor's sheet, and I found Gunia's sheet. My daughter had a fantastic time going through Gunia's Player's Handbook and reading his little notes.. lol.

I also saw a master experience sheet that listed all the current party members and their total xp, so that's excellent as well. I'll start getting it all entered during the day tomorrow.

I have all the information entered that I need to. All that's left is converting your characters to the Pathfinder rules. This mostly consists of changing proficiencies to Pathfinder skills and feats. If you have skill or feat slots left over, you can take anything appropriate to your character.
