'd100' : 34 Yep, the local blacksmith has 3 he was going to use for scrap metal. They're not pretty, but they're perfectly functional. He'll sell them for half the price listed in the LL manual. | |

| [OOC] Just thought of this... if they carry shields, then they can't carry torches. I think one of their important roles is going to be carrying torches when we need it. | |

| [OOC] As Mike pointed out in the Table Chatter... could just strap a shield to the back when not in use. So if we're in an environment where they don't need to carry torches, they could still carry shields.
Of course, I say all this... but still don't even have the 5 Gp to buy one shield, myself. So it would be whatever the people with the money (Chaos, Cole, and Llama) want to do. | |

| There is a general dry goods store where you can buy some torches for the standard price. Reeks suggests that Othmar, the innkeeper, might have old lard and rags to make torches, but that it would take time. | |

| After a brief discussion with the shopkeeper Jaral steps into a back room. Some time later he reappears, outfitted in splint mail and a helmet, with a short sword strapped at his side. It is hard to ignore the fact that all of the equipment is brand new - never been used. Jaral can't help but feel self-conscious as he slings his pack and follows Caby toward the Zeeg farm.
"Wonder if someone's already found that axe," he mumbles. | |

| You make your way back northwest out of town, stopping by the homes of Reeks and Brooner to get their swords. You arrive back at the Zeeg farm around 5pm, at least a couple of hours before sunset. | |

Caby quickly checks the outbuilding where they found the shovel to see if it also contains an axe.
"If that takes us too long into the afternoon, then maybe we could stake out the house tonight, watching from a distance to see if anything returns. If nothing happens, then we could follow the trail first thing in the morning."

| [OOC] For some reason, I have this innate fear of taking any of my characters into a deep, dank dungeon I know to have undead in it in the middle of the night. Even though logic tells me it will be dark down there no matter what time of the day it is, I still hate to do it.
Is that just me? | |

ooc - The Zeeg family has not been seen for two weeks. Tracks come and go from the house as if...something....from the north has visited multiple times in the recent past. Does it look like the most recent 'meal' took place yesterday or last week? | |
