Ducats looks up and tries to see what Cash is looking at. He nocks an arrow.

The sunlight, now coming almost laterally from above the horizon, lights up the dense bare branches of the tree from a different angle than just a few minutes ago.

Looking up, you see two greenish-brown figures hunched up into the branches, both with bows, arrows drawn back and pointed right at you.

Jaral had fallen silent as the little party followed the strange tracks. His sword was sheathed in favor of his bow. Concern for Caby is apparent as he tries to cover her every move.

Arrows fly past Ducats and Tagor, and one of the creatures [the fat one] shouts "go away!" They're both grabbing more arrows.

Not normally one to shoot first and ask questions later, Jaral makes an exception considering the hostility of the ugly beasties in the tree.

Reeks and Brooner move up to the tree, and try poking at the monsters with their swords, but they're out of reach. Cash stares at the monsters and growls.

Ducats shoots an arrow at the fat one that Jaral nicked. (Rolling a d6 for efficiency's sake in case he hits)
