Jaral's valiant charge ends abruptly as an arrow pierces his side and buries itself deep in his midsection. His battle-cry (such as it was) chokes off as he slumps to the floor. Blood flows from the wound, staining his shiny new armor, and his left leg spasms sporadically. He looks very much like a tin-wrapped piglet, skewered and awaiting the spit.

Ok, can I range the monsters still since I'm at a distance? Or is that not possible since Cole is up by them? If it isn't possible, then can I drop my bow and draw sword and knife while charging to close to melee?

The monsters were widely spaced out from side to side across the room, so, after movement, you can shoot at one as long as it's not within melee distance of anyone by that time. Alternatively you could drop your bow and draw weapons while advancing into melee, and attack with sword and knife this round.

Considering the possibility that the three remaining monsters will converge on Ducats, thus negating her ability to range with her bow, Caby drops the bow and draws her sword and knife while charging the monster that was hit by Tagor's sling bullet.

The one with the arrow in his side is still un-engaged, but seems to be preparing to turn on Ducats.

Tagor is trying to drag Jaral back away from the fight.

Ducats closes with the injured monster, succinctly preventing it from pursuing Tagor. The creature gets a gash in the chest, and is seriously wounded, but still fighting.
