Ahhh... a whole new perspective comes to light. Completely off-topic: I love this time of year because M&Ms has their chocolate mint flavour for sale. Mmmmm... chocolate mint M&Ms.

Completely off-topic: I love this time of year because M&Ms has their chocolate mint flavour for sale. Mmmmm... chocolate mint M&Ms. Yeah, lawful would be in favor of society and things society promulgates. Extreme law would be something like the proliferation of strict social classes and class codes & restrictions in the Indian caste system. Chaos on the other hand would promote anarchy and the whims of the individual over the concerns of others. Leadership in such systems is often by force or strength of personality, and restricted to smaller groups. Thus the tendency for goblin, orc, etc. leaders to be the strongest, toughest of the bunch. Lawful leaders, on the other hand, tend to be the smartest, richest, or most well connected. Neutrality is more of a 'balance of nature' or 'each to his own' stance. They would tend to feel there is a time and place for both order and anarchy.

I sort my Mint Chocolate M&Ms into strict social classes (red, green, and white) before I eat them. There is no way I could ever eat a chaotic grouping of M&Ms... (Yeah... too much about Ethan in that statement, isn't there?)

| Wife and I are going out of town this evening. I'll be leaving work at 3:00 PM Central Time and probably won't be able to post anything until Sunday evening.
I tried to pack the netbook, but the wife said I needed to get "unplugged" for a few days.
If I get up early enough in the morning, I can probably get on for a bit in the mornings (Sat/Sun) using our host's laptop. But I won't count on it.
Anyway, just pull Caby along with you. If I can interact I will, but don't wait for me. Don' t know if you want to go down the spiral stairs (could there be more goblins in a room down below?) It seems like it will go to the bottom of the ravine, which is about 200 feet. That's quite a climb, especially if we find nothing and have to go all the way back up. I think we should consider ourselves done here for the most part and head back to town to:
- Let Karl know what we found and destroyed. - See the local mayor or town leader and find out if they have need of the spare weapons we brought back. - See if Broomer had a family and give them his 1/2 share if he did. If not, then we'll split it amongst ourselves. - Split the rest of what was found in the chest. - Sell the weapons if the town doesn't need them. - Get the potion examined (might get the axe Caby took from Zeeg's farm examined as well) - Sell the malachite figurine
If there is a MU in town, then Caby wants to find out from them how much it would cost to have a second level spell cast.

The manor of the local lord was destroyed during the latter part of the Great War, and it hasn't been rebuilt yet. The lord himself is currently living in Vulyar. There is no official Burghermeister, but many people around Vom defer to the lord's old aid/steward who now works his own farm. Brooner had no family around Vom. As far as he knows, there is no mage or wizard around Vom either.

| Also, the malachite figurine is of an anthropomorphic dragon-man. | |

| Then I guess we'll just split up Broomer's share amongst the main party members.
(Too much math to try and figure out a half share for Reeks - he should be quite satisfied with his take at this point, anyway...)
And we'll just sell the arms and armour back in town for whatever we can get for it, then. Well, whatever anyone doesn't want, that is. I think Jaral and Caby are probably going to each take a shield...
What do you think, Llama & Cole... should we have the axe and the larger goblin's longsword tested to see if they are magical? What about the green cloak Ducats got from the peg in that first room. Most likely it isn't anything, but... you never know!

Happy Holidays, everyone! Be safe if you're traveling, enjoy your TSA pat down, and will catch you after the long weekend.

| Same to you, Llama! Maybe I'll see you on DDO over the holiday? I'll try to get one once or twice while the family is sleeping. Working on a new Pally build, just for something a little different (and to run through the low level stuff again - want to keep it sharp in my mind) Think her name is Verritas Truthbringer or some such noble trashy name like that where the first name basically means the same thing as the last name... | |

| *laughs* I like the lowbie content myself. Maybe I'll re-roll Karlosk, rebuild him the way I want him. Then again, Greater Heart of Wood does the same thing... I'm so conflicted. =) Either way, I'll be unreachable until Sunday sometime, but will look for you then. | |

| Bah, sorry I missed my self-imposed update schedule.. lots of odd things going on lately. I'll do some quick random encounter rolls, though the chance is currently very low along the road in the area you're in, then figure out travel time and current date so we know when you arrive back in Vulyar.. you might want to start thinking about what you'd like to do next once you arrive in Vulyar | |
