| Welcome back! Jaral will be in the inn after checking for a return message from his underling. And assuming there is nothing else going on with Push. (not like that, ehiker, you pervert) | |

| Yup, my actions are stated.
Hey, what a halfling and a warforged do on their own time is none of Caby's bidness, Llama!

| Oh, by the way.... We might have a new addition to the party in a short while. He is currently a co-worker of mine, though he'll be leaving the company in a week or so. Played quite a bit of D&D years ago; would like to join a PbP; I suggested ours. He checked out the forum over the weekend and downloaded the rules and char sheet bit. He is a little busy this week (not sure with what... leaving the old job, getting ready for the new job, some of the several writing projects he has outside of his day job, Christmas - sorry if he already appears to be a slacker) but said he would try to get something going with a character this next weekend. Oh, he mentioned he usually plays a dwarf, so... keep an eye out for another character with a height challenge. | |

You make it sound so cheap and tawdry. I'm not the one sending money back to a bar... Who KNOWS what sordid past you might have that you need to send so much money back to an established business. You probably hire all of your illegitimate children to work in the kitchens for a copper a day.
(not sure what inspired the above combination of smilies...)
Can we just /drag Cole along and assume he had a very nice breakfast of kippers and buttered toast until he chimes in? Promise not to /drag him into a dungeon! Yeah, I had decided to go ahead and do you guys' meeting at the Swan Inn and then on to the next thing you wanted to do, whether it be following one of the hooks I've set out, or coming up with your own course of action. Unfortunately, although I got my internet back, I've now had a bunch of family-related concerns and haven't been able to devote enough time here The plan now is to leave for another state today, and supposedly stay there til something like January 1st. It's 2.30 here now, so I really don't know if that's going to happen or not. Basically I'm totally up in the air, and feeling totally impotent and powerless. Whee, happy holidays.

| I've been here waiting. Hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe holiday break! I ended up with two new boardgames, Agricola and Claustrophobia. Can't wait to guilt my wife into playing one with me! hehe | |

| Hey guys! I'm Rob, the ex-co-worker, usually-a-dwarf-but-not-this-time that Caby was talking about a few weeks back. Sorry it's taken me a while to get setup around here, but, as he said, I've had quite a bit going on between switching jobs, some freelance writing gigs, and the holidays. But now that I've been at the new job for a few days, and the holidays are over (there are always freelance writing gigs gumming up the works, though), I'd love to join the party (pun entirely intended).
I need to do a little shopping with my 150GP, but don't let that hold us up from moving on. I plan on equipping Finora tonight, so if we were already on the road, by the time anything should happen, she'll be ready.
I look forward to playing. I want to say it was the mid-to-late-90's the last time I played an ongoing campaign, so please pardon my noob-ness as I re-remember the old rules. I'll try to sit back and learn a little before making too many bold moves ("Guys, seriously, we can totally take on this dragon. C'moooooon!")

| Looks like you need a faster coffee maker, too!
Might I recommend a Keurig? They're the bomb when your significant other doesn't drink coffee and you hate to make a full pot.

We spent a day at my brother-in-law's house over the Haulidays and they have a Keurig. I was suitably impressed. However, if I drink coffee I always drink at least 4 cups, as measured in those markings on the side of most coffee makers. I have a small, like Euro-size, coffee cup that I like, because it doesn't go cold before I get it all drunk. Drank? Drinkerated. And I just keep filling it over and over til the pot's gone. Then I make more. Then I get the shakes. It's a system.

It works well with my style of coffee-drinking, which is to make a cup as quickly as I can while hoping Finley doesn't get too bored with laying down in the paypen as I do it. Plus, I generally stick to good-tasting-but-non-flavoured coffees but like the occasional taste of pumpkin spice or french vanilla and this lets me do it with no problem. I first got hooked on them about five years ago when my wife was getting her LASIK done. The waiting room I found myself sitting in several times for pre- and post-op meetings (and during the procedure itself) had a huge industrial-sized Keurig. My goal became "See how many cups of this Ethan can drink while Dana is visiting with the doctor." I made it up to three cups during a 20 minute visit.
