| Thought about playing it that way, but... you didn't have to lose the sanity points for seeing the results of their feasting on humans.
I figured Caby would not have been able to control herself, given the first chance to revenge the Zeeg family. In the future she should be able to restrain herself, but... just playin' her how I feel she would react.
(Yeah, I can get a little TOO vested in my characters...)

| Just so you all know, I rolled target, to hit, damage, but I'm not applying it til the end of the round since it's all happening at once. For one thing, they aren't moving since they planned on just shooting their bows, so you guys are the only ones doing anything in the movement part of the round | |

| Jaral is closing with the nearest baddie - does he still get to attack this round? I don't want to try to make him do too much stuff at once. =) | |

| I was wanting to use my AP for something else, too. On the upside, it hasn't been used yet!
I suppose I should use my AP to be incapacitated instead of de-de-dead.

| Maybe you can use your AP to change that To Hit roll to a 1? Ummm... Maybe... something else can happen?
A miracle! Yeah, that's it! We need a miracle!
What kind of dice rolls were those, Mike??? A 19, a 20, and a 17 right off the bat? Pshhhh. *shakes head*

| Oh, oh, oh! You could use your AP to make the arrow hit the hireling instead of you! I mean... what's the point of having a hireling if they can't take an arrow for you, right? | |

| If it hadn't been a natural 20, which should always hit, I would have suggested in your movement round that you fully hide behind a pew, thus adding a -4 to his To Hit roll. | |

| With spending an AP, it still hits you, but you're only mostly dead, which is a little bit alive. | |

| It's possible, Pig, I might be bluffing. It's conceivable, you miserable, vomitous mass, that I'm only lying here because I lack the strength to stand. But, then again... perhaps I have the strength after all. Wait a moment, I can't move. | |

| Mike, how are you liking the Eberron fiction books? Normally I avoid game fiction, but I've wondered before how Keith Baker particularly portrayed adventuring in his game world. | |

I've got mixed feelings about them. Bits here and there are quite good. I find myself getting easily frustrated with the characters at times though, as they are (sometimes) artificially obtuse. The three main characters are overprotective of each other. It eventually gets tedious the n'th time they meet someone, and two of them fuss and snipe and block to 'save the other one from themselves.' All in all though, it's more like Firefly than like Dragonlance. One of the main characters is based pretty heavily on Mal, to the point where Baker even said he'd pick Nathan Fillion to play him if given the chance. The first book takes place in Sharn, and I like it best of the three Dreaming Dark books. The second takes place in Xen-drik, and the third takes place on one of the Eberron outer planes.

| I didn't really say much about how he depicts adventuring though.. heh. So far, adventuring consists mostly of reluctantly doing things that have been thrust upon them by virtue of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or by virtue of inherited complexities, while wishing they could lead the simple quiet life. That doesn't sound very good, does it? lol | |

Oh, and where is Chaos? (Not that I'm the kind of guy to go looking for chaos... it usually finds me.)
